Grand Old House

Built in 1908 as the Petra Plantation House and subsequently transformed into the Cayman Islands' first upscale restaurant decades ago, Grand Old House is now a historical waterfront landmark that exudes warmth and class. Its spectacular oceanside setting welcomes people whatever the size of their event or party, whether on their ocean front deck or in one of their five air conditioned private dining rooms, including a very special wine room that seats ten and displays their certificates for 20+ years of winning the coveted Wine Spectator Award (for their incredible wine collection). With a seafront deck awash with hundreds of twinkling lights, Grand Old House does not have to try very hard to be atmospheric in a subtle and very special way. 

Cayman's Grand Old House's award winning chefs expertly prepare Caribbean-international classics using the freshest local ingredients and whatever the fishermen and local farmers have brought in that day; people can enjoy a wonderful dinner, with great wine, followed by a glass of Armagnac and a cigar from their extensive collection. They host special events such as brunches on Mother's Day and Easter.

Grand Old House has a full-time event planner and wedding coordinator, and along with their team of highly experienced staff it is not surprising that this old colonial plantation house has become such a sought-after destination for hosting weddings and corporate events. With a deck that can host over 400 people, and intimate gazebos as well as six elegant private dining rooms, there is a place for your event regardless of the occasion or size.

Wedding & Event Venue
Grand Old House's large oceanfront  deck seats up to 400 and includes a tent that  seats up to 200 as a rain back-up. A dedicated team of talented staff, including a full time event planner can plan your special event.
